Terms
Proposed rules for reading, citing, and contributing to the directory. This agreement still needs operator and legal review.
Using the directory
Answered by Experts organizes consumer questions and attributable explanations from professional businesses. Company answers may be summaries of linked source material rather than direct quotations. See About the data for the source process and verification limits.
The directory supplies information, not an assessment of your particular situation. A documented repair, diagnosis, recommendation, or project outcome may not apply to a similar problem. Check the original source and consult an appropriate professional before making safety, medical, legal, financial, or other consequential decisions.
A listing, answer, or source link does not create a professional-client relationship with the site or a contract for the expert business's services. Any engagement, price, warranty, credential check, or service dispute is between you and that business.
Accounts, listing requests, and contributions
Where accounts are available, use an email address you control and protect your sign-in links. Do not impersonate another person or business. A Get Listed request is an application for review, not automatic verification, acceptance, or a promise of publication.
If you contribute a reply or business material, provide accurate attribution and only share content you are authorized to provide. Do not include private customer details, confidential recordings, account credentials, or material that infringes another person's rights. Distinguish firsthand findings from assumptions and avoid presenting unperformed work as a completed outcome.
Proposed moderation rules allow contributions to be reviewed, withheld, corrected, or removed when they lack evidence, misrepresent authorship, disclose private information, or violate these standards. Member replies remain distinct from source-backed company answers.
Before adoption, the operator must define and review the license needed to publish, edit, summarize, attribute, and distribute submitted material, including any use of AI. This draft does not supply an agreed transfer of ownership or an unlimited publication license.
Attribution and responsible access
The directory is designed to be read by people and internet agents. Follow the Agent Instructions for source attribution and machine-readable access. When citing an answer, preserve the business name, relevant context, and source link. Do not describe an AI-assisted summary as a verbatim expert quotation.
Links and citation guidance do not grant ownership of third-party articles, recordings, images, or other material. Rights to the original source remain with their respective owners. Any permission for bulk redistribution or other reuse beyond what law allows must be confirmed with the relevant rights holder.
Do not bypass access controls, probe private records, submit spam, manipulate helpful votes, interfere with the site's operation, or use attribution to impersonate a business. Automated access should respect published rules and avoid disruptive request volumes.
Limits and details to confirm before adoption
Source material can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Verification of a business or source is not a guarantee of an answer's accuracy, suitability, or completeness. The directory, its features, and external source pages may change or become unavailable.
The final terms need legal review of any warranty disclaimer, liability limits, suspension rules, dispute process, and mandatory consumer protections. This draft does not assume that a particular disclaimer or limitation is valid in every jurisdiction.
- Confirm the legal operator's identity and a contact route for corrections, rights complaints, and other notices.
- Confirm account eligibility, the contribution license, moderation procedures, and any commercial listing terms.
- Confirm governing law, dispute resolution, applicable liability wording, and the effective date.
- Confirm how final terms are presented, accepted where needed, and updated.
No governing jurisdiction or binding acceptance process is established by this page. These are proposed rules for review, not the site's adopted agreement. The Privacy draft separately explains site data handling and its unresolved details.
