Why is my 2017 Audi A6 in limp mode with the EPC light?

We had a customer's 2017 Audi A6 Quattro Prestige in with an EPC light and limp mode. We found a failed cylinder-one ignition coil and worn plugs in cylinders two and three. After we replaced them, the road test showed an 85% reduction in misfires.
