Why is my 2024 Chevrolet Equinox running rough under load?

We recently diagnosed a 2024 Chevrolet Equinox that ran rough during hard acceleration, highway merging, and hill climbing. Testing isolated a cylinder-one misfire under load, and inspection found carbon tracking on the cylinder-one spark plug and ignition-coil boot, with additional tracking on cylinder three. We replaced all four spark plugs, replaced the faulty cylinder-one ignition coil, performed a GDI carbon-cleaning service, and verified the repair with a final scan and road test.
